Spring 2007 GLC Project, Creating an Interactive Google Earth Atlas of Stone Mountain, is completed and online (click for links)! Many thanks go out to all the hard work everyone put in to this project.
GLC_Stone_Mountain.kmz (For Google Earth)
In this project students learned how to read topographical maps, how to use a compass and GPS. In several field excursions to stone mountain, students collected both geographic and geologic data. The data was compiled into an interactive Google Earth atlas. This file is available here for download as a Google Earth KMZ file (which works with Google Earth, downloadable at earth.google.com), or an online KML file. |
