The Geospatial Laboratory is proud to announce a few new additions to the Geospatial Computer Labs around campus, and the opening of a new lab in 364 Sparks hall and the addition of computers in 301-C Kell Hall for the Geosciences Learning Community.

Summer 2007 was an exciting time for the Geospatial Laboratory.  Working with the University of Georgia, the ArcGIS environment was updated across the campus to version 9.2, bringing increased capabilities to GIS users.  In addition, a number of new computers have been brought online to better service Geoscience graduate and undergraduate students, giving them the tools and space needed to work.

 New resources include:

  • 5 computers in 364 Sparks Hall with various specialized software installed on them
  • 2 Microsoft Windows PCs and 1 OSX Mac in the GLC Room (301 - C)


New software resources in 369 Sparks Hall:

  • ArcGIS 9.2 (Upgraded from 9.0)
  • SPSS 15 (Upgraded from 14)
  • Google Earth 4.0 (Upgraded from 3.0)
